Chickens

I wrote a new post REALLY late one night and drew this picture along with it. After looking back on it I decided to just keep the picture.

Sweatshirt

Today I put on a sweatshirt that I haven't worn in a long time and a couple of beautiful red, fall leaves fell out of the hood. I said to myself, "That's odd, I haven't worn this at all this fall. What a beautiful moment." Upon further inspection I realized they were just regular old leaves from this summer and that my head was bleeding.

Fall

Well it's fall again. To celebrate, here are some standard issue fall pictures that I took yesterday. Except one isn't so "standard issue". I tried something a little different and it didn't quite come out to be what I had hoped. But it's still kinda cool.

Okay

OKAY! Alright. Here we go. Lets see...ummm...well...uhhh...yeah. Let me start at the beginning. There were two guys. One was tall and one was short. One had two brothers and one had none. They were singing a song and traveled throughout the land. I didn't catch their names, but one started with a Q. If you asked what they looked like I would probably just say, "One was tall and one was short." You see, it was dark, and there was a lot of commotion. All I know is that they wanted to see me. But that never happened. Something distracted me. It was either the German Shepherd eating a can of tuna or the man balancing a sword on one finger. I can't really remember. The next thing I knew I was running down the street shouting, "FINANCE! FINANCE! Someone stole my finance!" I know, I know. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Jesse, do you perhaps mean Fiancee?" But, no. I don't. Someone stole my finance. It wouldn't have been a big deal if I had talked to the two guys. But no one is gonna be talking to them ever again. That is, not since I killed them. UNINTENTIONALLY! My goodness. Don't be so quick to judge. IT'S NOT MY FAULT. You try flying a helicopter sometime. It's A LOT harder than it looks. They kept yelling at me saying, "UP! UP!" And I was just, "I know! HOW?!"
"DA BUDDAN! DA BUDDAN!"
"The button?! WHICH BUTTON?!"
"RAD! RAD!"
"THERE ISN'T A RED BUTTON!"
*CRASH!*
And then it was quiet. Too quiet. I couldn't tell if the song I was hearing was off in the distance or just in my head. But sure enough, it was those guys walking away into sunset. Singing at the top of their voices.

That was a good day.

Dr. Pepper

I went to Quiznos today. Got some food to bring back to the apartment. When I got back it was such a beautiful day that I figured I'd eat out on the balcony. Pretty good idea, right? Wrong. I set my Dr. Pepper on the railing to sit down (I took a couple sips on the way back and was REALLY looking forward to drinking the rest of it) but when I sat I bumped the railing with my feet and the Dr. Pepper fell to the ground splattering everywhere. *sigh* I didn't know what to do with myself. It hit me a lot harder than you'd think. I sat there for a good minute just staring at the ground imagining a perfect world where that Dr. Pepper was still in my hand and I was enjoying every sip of it. I couldn't bare being outside anymore. So I sulked inside and stole some of my roommates milk.

...I'm still kinda sad.

Probably a poem or something.

This is probably a poem or something,
I don't know what else to call it.
Perhaps a "rhyming arrangement",
and I'm pretty sure it's not a sonnet.

It's a pretty fun thing,
to sit and write a poem.
I don't have to show it to the public,
but I feel like I owe 'em.

I'm not sure how long this will be,
I gotta keep coming up with rhymes.
And that's something,
that I can't do too many times.

But it's not like it's rocket science,
just pick a word like "door".
And before you know it,
you're rhyming it with "floor".

This is a sad excuse for a poem,
it has no flow or theme.
If a real poet ever read it,
he'd probably just scream.

But that's okay,
does it look like I care?
Well, I guess I do,
but not that much.

(Yeah, I know. That last one didn't rhyme. Just use your imagination.)

Gatorade.

I saw a Gatorade commercial recently that very much disturbed me, and before I tell you what it was I would like to begin with saying this:

When you think of people drinking Gatorade what sports do you think of? Think back on every Gatorade commercial you have ever seen. What do they show? I'll tell you. They show hockey players, volleyball players, runners, tennis players, soccer players, FOOTBALL PLAYERS, BASEBALL PLAYERS!!! Ever seen any golfers in a gatorade commercial? NO! Never! But then a couple nights ago I see this commercial:

Not only is it a commercial with a golfer in it, IT'S A COMMERCIAL SHOWING THAT TIGER WOODS HAS HIS OWN GATORADE NOW! What?! WHAT?! I...I don't even know what to say. And here's what's funny. They knew it'd be too boring to show Tiger just playing golf and drinking Gatorade so what did they do? They put him on the MOON! HA!
